JS Surfboards - New for 2012

Earth, Wind and Water is stoked to be adding another internationally renowned shaper to its surfboard range - JS Surfboards.

We received some great feedback from our customers who ordered their JS boards from us over the Summer and have been putting them through their paces ever since in the diverse Isle of Wight surf... of all the shapes in the JS range, 3 shapes in particular worked well and it's those 3 shapes - the Blak Box, the King Pin and the Prodigy series, that we have now decided to stock here in the shop.

Blak Box - Has a fuller curvy outline and a more defined hip pulled from the fins into a nice straight directional tail curve through to the wider tail pod. JS has spent a lot of time on this model combining old school outlines with the latest bottom curves showcasing plenty of detail.  The deck is flat giving the board an overall feeling of extra forgiveness allowing you to ride this board thinner than a normal performance board. Fast in flat sections because extra foam has been left under your chest area and front foot.

King Pin  - The double flyer rounded pin tail offers an incredibly tight turning circle in the pocket. The wide outline overcomes any catch through turns; the flat single concave entry under your chest offers a lot of lift and speed with a double concave between the fins.

... Both of these boards are great for small to medium waves and should be ridden 3 to 4 inches shorter than your normal shortboard.

Prodigy - Based on the incredible success of models Blak Box, King Pin, Konfusion and Mystery, the “Prodigy” model is the newly born evolution from JS. This is where we see some elements taken from the best performing small wave models combined with pro model refinements throughout. The Prodigy is designed for the serious surfer looking for a flatter bottom rocker, more outline curve and pro model based rail volume from nose to tail. Ride the Prodigy 5 fin design with the brand new rounded pin tail temp from JS 2 inches shorter than normal. 3 inches shorter for Pros.

All other JS models are still available to order through the shop... For more info contact aaran@earthwindwater.co.uk or call us on 01983 866269.
